Flamer

Summary

Flamer is a young adult graphic novel written and illustrated by Mike Curato. The book tells the story of a teenage boy named Aiden Navarro, who is struggling to come to terms with his identity as a gay person in a hostile and homophobic environment.

As Aiden navigates the challenges of adolescence, he also grapples with his complicated family dynamics and his changing relationships with the people in his life. He finds solace and support in his summer camp, but even there he encounters homophobia and bullying.
