Summary
Julian is a Mermaid is a children's picture book written and illustrated by Jessica Love. The book tells the story of a young boy named Julian who is fascinated by mermaids after seeing three women dressed as them on the subway.
When Julian gets home, he decides to create his own mermaid costume out of household items. However, when his grandmother sees him in his costume, she initially looks disapproving. Julian worries that he has done something wrong, but his grandmother surprises him by accepting him for who he is and takes him to a mermaid parade where they both join in the fun.
