Red: A Crayon’s Story

Summary

Red: A Crayon's Story, written and illustrated by Michael Hall, is a children's picture book that tells the story of a red crayon that has been mislabeled. Despite being labeled as "red," the crayon realizes that it is actually blue on the inside.

The book follows the red crayon as it tries to fulfill its role in coloring various objects, but consistently fails to do so. The other crayons try to help the red crayon by giving it advice and guidance, but nothing seems to work. Eventually, the red crayon discovers that it is happier and more successful when it embraces its true identity as a blue crayon.

Published by Greenwillow Books, an imprint of HarperCollins, the book is recommended by the publisher for readers aged 4-8 years.
