The Love Hypothesis
Summary
The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood is a contemporary romance novel that delves into the life of Olive Smith, a third-year Ph.D. candidate who doesn't believe in lasting romantic relationships but understands the importance of chemistry in a different sense. To convince her best friend that she's on a thriving romantic path, Olive impulsively kisses the first man she sees, who turns out to be Adam Carlsen, a young hotshot professor known for his demanding nature and high standards in the academic world.
What starts as a spur-of-the-moment action to support a white lie evolves into a complex fake dating arrangement between Olive and Adam, primarily intended to serve their individual agendas. However, as they navigate the charade, the lines between pretense and reality begin to blur, leading to discoveries about themselves, each other, and the nature of love and relationships in the high-pressure environment of academia.
Published by Berkley, The Love Hypothesis is targeted towards an adult audience.
